Preface
The Quranic verses revealed in the Arabic language can never be replaced by any other form of translation in other languages. The musical presentation of the rhyme scheme increases the uncanny and aesthetic appeal to the inquisitive religious mind of the readers. The rhetorical expression of the verses of the Holy Quran – especially the eloquent use of analogies, parables, images, metaphors and most interestingly the use of alliterations becomes somewhat distasteful if we express it in other terms and in other languages. But for those who are non-Arabic speaking people, there is no other way than to quench their thirst by reading the translation only. A word-for-word interpretation can sometimes be misleading and confusing since it is very difficult for any person to express fully and completely the multi-layer meaning of the verses of the Holy Quran. That's why thematic interpretation would be much easier for proper understanding of the readers.
In this Book, since we have concentrated mainly on the translation of the Holy Quran, the readers - especially non-Arabic speaking people will get benefit if they go through the Holy Quran along with two major languages of the world, namely - Bangla and English. It will help them to extract the true meaning of the Holy Quran.
As far as we are aware, there are no other works to the likes of this book. Many works have been produced covering somewhat depthless translations and meanings, rather than reflecting its actual message and essential reality of Knowledge. Most of those works apply such obscure language that it is no wonder many readers find it insipid and tedious to go through.
The holy Quran is a timeless masterpiece having exceedingly different approach and understanding of a set of supreme knowledge revealed by the Supreme Being- the one denoted by the name Allah down to the postman-messenger Rasulullah Mustafa (saw). It is not merely a history book, nor a good virtue book, nor a social order book, nor a book merely containing the knowledge of the universe. Rather it is a juxtaposition of all these things in a single set of commandment by the Almighty Allah.
The Holy Quran describes itself as 'the discernment' (al-furqan), 'the mother book' (umm al-kitab), 'the guide' (huda), 'the wisdom' (hikmah), 'the rememberance' (dhikr) and 'the revelation' (tanzil; 'something sent down', signifying the descent of an object from a higher place to the lower place). It is a complete code of life - after and before death for mankind as well as for jinnkind; and death is a gateway to enter into a state of timelessness after having or passing a very short span on earth. The holy Quran is the KNOWLEDGE of the Reality and the System (sunnahtullah) - the mechanics of the System and the Orders of the dimensions in which individual beings will forever abide.
The Holy Quran is the most precious Book in the whole world throughout the ages. This precious Book must have the most valuable quality of printing, binding and design. That’s why we put our utmost effort upon the most presentable and gorgeous outlook of the Book. This Book is also available in the cloud (www.theholyquranbangla.com), so that the audio-visual presentation can be more helpful for the readers.
It is a mammoth task to compile, edit and publish a Book like this; ensuring and maintaining the pricelessness of the dignity and nobleness of the Holy Quran. Our whole endeavor is to proliferate and circulate the knowledge of the Holy Quran as much as possible across the world in a very distinguished presentation of the holy Book. This Book is a Sadaqah Jariyah. We hope to make it easy for everyone to read, study and learn The Holy Quran in a befitting manner and is not intended for sale and any commercial use of this Book is strictly discouraged.
I acknowledge my gratitude to the scholars who extended their hands towards the fulfilment of the aspiration. Special thanks to the technical team for supporting us in materializing our long cherished dream for contributing to the publication of this edition.
Lastly, my sincerest thanks to the almighty Allah that we successfully accomplished such a huge task. But how far it is praiseworthy or not the readers across the world would consider.
